Our Purpose

AR NexGen's purpose is to share essential engineering lessons learned from Aerospace and Civil Engineering work experiences totaling over 75 years and from mentors of the previous generation. Our experience was gained at NASA, the Ohio Department of Transportation, state and city government, and private industry.

AR NexGen is passionate about supporting workforce development and teams to help enable successful engineering projects by sharing these timeless lessons with the next generation. AR NexGen accomplishes this purpose by providing mentoring on an individual or group basis and by conducting training courses for engineers, engineering managers, and support staff engaged in the development of complex systems and those responsible for oversight in these areas.

AR NexGen has a partnership agreement with Aerospace Engineering Associates LLC (AEA), a premier space training organization that has provided over 120 training courses to worldwide technical organizations since 2007. AR NexGen has incorporated and updated the AEA two-day Mission Success First: Lessons Learned course.

Our highly rated course provides insight into space and terrestrial engineering system mishaps and near-misses, including the causes and suggested preventative measures.

AR NexGen provides specific advice on the "human element" and how to apply the lessons more broadly. Because almost every mishap presented occurred because of human error, the lessons apply to any technical endeavor designed and operated by humans.

AR NexGen translates lessons into concrete strategies to minimize or eliminate root causes of engineering system mishaps and near misses. In addition to engineering best practices, AR NexGen includes lessons in program management (and examples of mismanagement), drawing from their many years of experience in engineering management.

“On target. Absolutely applies to the work we do at Disneyland.”
